I think they fit the theme of the car though. They are the stainless Ford Racing units, but I'm not a huge fan of the cables. Anyone have suggestions for alternatives?

Beautiful colors and the it looks great overall. Any chance we could get a couple of full body pictures for wallpaper use?

I've always wondered about the cables. Don't they scratch the paint?

I think it fits the car nicely but they do have this style:

1. It would look much better with shiny, braided steel cables.

2. That car is absolute sex.

Not sure if those are as secure as the wired ones. It would be interesting to find out.

2. I agree again. :)

I wouldn't know either. I assume most people use the ones with the wires for a reason.

That's what I have, but I want to replace the cables. I guess I could just put the pins in my pocket when the hood is up.

They fit the vintage look perfectly!

Are they cheaply made or not bad for the price?

Not bad for the price. The chrome has been holding up great for over a year. I will probably end up swapping them for something more $$$ in the future, but for now they look pretty good.

Nah I wish. Its from the late 80's SVO Mustangs, Merkurs, and Thunderbird Turbocoupes.

They fit the car. On most cars however, I hate assholes that put them on their road cars though.

I knew I was walking a line before I did it. But, 60's pony car.... racing livery.... ah heck, you only live once.

yeah, it definitely works with the livery.

Just drop the clips on the pins themselves when the hood is up, as long as kids don't run off with them at car shows. I like the cables, but the FRPP ones are terrible, don't know why they do that. The type Sam suggested would look sweet as you see the braiding, not the plastic. Expect a little surface scuffing over time (years) on the corners of the hood from the cables though, nothing that doesn't polish right up.
